1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Carelabel is operated by Layora Enterprises FZE LLC, CWS-1V-225475, 26th Floor, Amber Gem Tower, Ajman, United Arab Emirates, licensed by Ajman Free Zone Authority, License No. 2627211926888 ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].
These terms govern your use of usecarelabel.com (formerly carelabel.eu), the free label check and the paid services described below. Orders are placed through our payment partner, which acts as merchant of record (section 5). We perform the service. Where these terms and the payment partner's buyer terms overlap on payment, invoicing, cancellation or refunds, the partner's buyer terms apply to those points.
The service is aimed at businesses such as apparel brands, retailers and manufacturers. Consumers may also use it. Where you buy as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence applies in addition to these terms and takes precedence where it conflicts with them.
2. The service
Free check. You upload a photo or file of a care label, or enter label data, and choose the markets you sell into. Our software reads the label with the help of an AI model and evaluates the content against a fixed set of labeling rules for the chosen markets. You receive an instant result with a score and the number and severity of the findings. One finding is shown in full; the others are shown in summary until an order is placed. The free check is a preliminary, automated check without a further quality check.
Fix + Certificate costs €69 per style, all sizes included. 10 styles costs €490 and covers ten styles. Both are paid services. For each style we deliver:
- the full report with every finding, its legal basis and a ready-to-use correction;
- a corrected label specification: fiber composition in the required languages, origin and mandatory information, and care instructions as text;
- print-ready label files from your Label Studio: PNG at 300 dpi, SVG and PDF, where you choose size, font and your logo;
- a compliance sheet with the binding label content for your manufacturer;
- a certificate with a check ID, the rule version and a public verification page.
Delivery is digital, by email and on your status page, within one business day after we receive your complete confirmation of the product data (section 4). Every label passes automated checks and a quality check before delivery. We check the content of the label, not the physical label, the garment or the production.
Care symbols. The five care symbols are registered trademarks of GINETEX and need a licence in most markets. We deliver care instructions as text by default. If you confirm during the order that you hold a GINETEX licence, we deliver the symbols instead. You are responsible for that confirmation.
Scope. The check covers the rules listed on our website for the selected markets: fiber composition and fiber names, mandatory manufacturer information, origin statements where required, language requirements and the plausibility of care instructions. It does not cover product safety testing, flammability requirements, chemical or substance regulations, customs classification, sizing, children's product rules beyond what the site states, or any rule not listed. Where the result shows a scope note, that note is part of the result.
3. What the certificate is, and what it is not
The certificate documents a conformity check by Carelabel of the label content we delivered against the rule sets named on the certificate, on the date shown on it. It is not an official or governmental approval, not an accredited certification and not legal advice. It does not replace any approval, test, declaration or registration that the law may require for your product. Authorities, marketplaces and importers decide independently; our certificate does not bind them.
Carelabel is an information and preparation service. We are not a law firm. If you need legal certainty for a specific case, consult a qualified lawyer.
4. Your data and your responsibility
Our results depend on what you give us: the uploaded image or file, the markets you select and the product data you enter or confirm. Before we prepare a paid deliverable, we ask you to confirm or correct every field we read from your label on your status page. We do not deliver without that confirmation. Every check is based on the product data you confirmed.
You are responsible for the data you confirm, and you remain responsible for placing your products on the market lawfully. If the confirmed data was wrong or incomplete, the result can be wrong, and that is not a defect of our service. You also remain responsible for checking that the rules we apply fit your product and your sales channels.
You confirm that you have the right to upload the images and data you submit, that they contain no unlawful content and that you use the service only for your own products or for products you are authorized to label.
5. Prices, ordering and payment
Prices are shown in euro: €69 per style for Fix + Certificate, all sizes included, and €490 for 10 styles. Taxes are added or shown at checkout according to your location. Prices on the website may change for future orders; the price shown at checkout applies to your order.
Invoice orders are sold directly by Layora Enterprises FZE LLC. Card payments are processed by our payment partner acting as merchant of record. The partner is named on the checkout page and on your receipt.
The partner accepts the payment, issues the invoice and charges and remits VAT or sales tax. The partner's buyer terms and refund policy apply. We do not receive or store your card details.
A 10 styles order can be used for ten styles within twelve months of purchase. Styles not used within that period expire, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
6. Delivery
All deliverables are digital. We deliver by email and on your status page, which you reach through your check ID. After payment we ask you to confirm your product data (section 4). We deliver within one business day after we receive your complete confirmation. If a case needs more time, for example because your data raises questions, we tell you by email before the business day ends. Delivery times are estimates, not fixed deadlines, unless we agree a date in writing.
7. Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you order as a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. Because the payment partner is the seller of record, the right of withdrawal is exercised towards the partner, which handles it under its refund policy. You can also write to us and we will pass your request on.
Our paid services are digital services and digital content that we start performing right after your order. By confirming at checkout that we may begin immediately, and by acknowledging that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun or the content has been supplied in full, your right of withdrawal expires as the law provides. If you do not give that consent, we start after the withdrawal period has ended.
8. Refunds and our correction remedy
Refund requests, the payment partner's role as merchant of record and our correction remedy, which your result page calls the "correction guarantee", are described on our Refunds page. In short: you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase, the payment partner processes refunds under its refund policy, and if a market surveillance authority objects to a label we delivered, we correct it free of charge and refund the price of that style.
The correction remedy applies to the label content we delivered and that you used unchanged. It does not cover changes you made, data you confirmed incorrectly, rules outside the scope in section 2, or rule changes after the check date shown on your certificate. Consequential losses are not covered by this remedy; section 10 applies to them.
9. Rights in the deliverables
You receive an unrestricted, perpetual, worldwide and royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify and distribute the deliverables for your own labels and products, including passing them to your manufacturers, printers, marketplaces and customers. You may show the certificate and the verification page to third parties.
We keep all rights in our rule engine, methods, templates, software and website. You may not resell the service itself, run automated bulk checks against our systems or use the deliverables to build a competing service.
10. Liability
Our liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for that order. This limit does not apply to damage we cause intentionally. It also does not apply to damage caused by gross negligence, to injury to life, body or health, or where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law.
For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for performing the contract and on which you may rely, and only for the damage that was foreseeable and typical for this kind of contract. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost sales, delays at customs or marketplaces, recalls or penalties, except where mandatory law says otherwise.
The free check is provided as is, without any promise of accuracy, availability or fitness for a purpose, and we may change, limit or stop it at any time.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the website and the free check available, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may improve or change the service, the rule set and the markets covered. Rule changes after your check date do not oblige us to update a delivered result; you can run a new check at any time.
12. Data protection
How we handle your data, including uploaded label images and the use of AI, is described in our Privacy policy.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applicable in the Emirate of Ajman, to the extent permitted by law and excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence remains unaffected, and you may bring claims before the courts of that country. For businesses, the courts of Ajman, United Arab Emirates, have jurisdiction.
14. Final provisions
If a provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule that comes closest to its purpose. We may change these terms for the future. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order; the current version is always available on this page.
